Jon D. Hammes is the founder of Hammes Company, a national real estate consulting, development, investment, and management firm. He is the chairman and CEO of Hammes Healthcare and a managing principal of Hammes Partners, an institutional private equity platform that develops and acquires healthcare facilities on behalf of pension funds, endowments, and foundations. Prior to forming Hammes Company, Jon was a managing partner at Trammell Crow Company.
Jon currently serves as a trustee and past chair of the Medical College of Wisconsin, a director of the George W. Bush Presidential Institute, the former trustee and chair of the State of Wisconsin Investment Board, emeriti trustee for Marquette University, past director of the University of Wisconsin Foundation, and past chair and director of Teach for America.
Jon earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Master of Science in Real Estate and Investment Analysis from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
