September marks 21 years of the Global War on Terrorism. To this day, uniformed and non-uniformed personnel are fighting to defend our security and our freedoms. More than 7,000 Americans have given their lives in combat over the course of this mission, and more than 50,000 have been wounded. Numerous others wrestle with traumas incurred during their service, a somber reminder during National Suicide Prevention Month.
Will you help remember them?
In honor of this solemn anniversary, we challenge you to observe 21 seconds of quiet reflection.
This small gesture is a way to raise awareness about those who have served — and continue to serve — in our nation’s longest war.
Help us spread the word about the importance of a Global War on Terrorism Memorial.
If you’re interested in supporting the Foundation in a different way, we encourage you to donate $21 in honor of the anniversary of 9/11, which set off the multigenerational conflict our Memorial will focus on.
The Global War on Terrorism Memorial Foundation’s sole and sacred mission is to honor all who have served and sacrificed with a Memorial on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. These funds will help fund an inclusive Memorial that will cause Americans to honor, heal, be empowered, and unite.
Join us in remembering our Global War on Terrorism heroes!
The Global War on Terrorism Memorial will be entirely funded through private donations. No federal government funding will be used. Join the movement to honor all of our GWOT heroes.
