Gather to Honor
Every Veterans Day matters, but this year it has additional significance. Between the 20th anniversary of the September 11th attacks and recent developments in Afghanistan, Americans are being reminded of – or even learning for the first time ever – what the Global War on Terrorism has meant to veterans, their families, and all Americans.
The Global War on Terrorism Memorial Foundation is dedicated to honoring all who have served in and been impacted by the Global War on Terrorism by constructing a Memorial on the National Mall in Washington, DC.
This Memorial will be a place where every American can gather together to remember, reflect, heal, and be inspired to new acts of public service.

On November 8th, the Foundation released a new survey conducted in partnership with the polling firm Ipsos. The findings reveal a serious national lack of knowledge surrounding the Global War on Terrorism, and an enthusiasm for a Memorial on the National Mall.
